Tills Innovations was set up in 2000 by Mike Tillett and his brother Steve. Mike's background is in engineering and he spent seven years working for one of the world's most advanced control systems companies. Those years proved an excellent training ground for honing his skills at listening to customer's detailed product requirements and then developing bespoke solutions in response to the technical challenge -which today represents a core element of Mike's role in the business.

The catalyst to forming Tills Innovations appeared in the guise of the restoration of Mike's 200 year old cottage. Mike hit upon the great idea of introducing a natural stream feature into the garden but when it came to sourcing the appropriate supplier to deliver the dream, he drew a blank. Unable to find a suitable company to take on the challenge of crafting a piece of natural stone to create the contemporary water fall feature, Mike decided he'd tackle the project himself.

The resulting water feature drew so many favourable comments from friends and family that Mike quickly found himself with a handful of commissions to make additional features each presenting a variation on the original theme. It was at this point that he realized that an opportunity clearly existed to create unique products for the garden which are tailor-made to meet the discerning requirements of individual customers.

Mike's brother Steve joined the business in 2000. Steve also comes from an engineering background and is a fully qualified tool maker totally at home with the demands of designing a device which requires total precision and an in-depth understanding of the mechanics, materials and logistics associated with such a build. The move into the family business provided Steve with the opportunity to explore his creative prowess whilst applying his proven technical expertise.

It is not about trying to flog one popular design to death in an effort to create a brand identity. And it is absolutely not about cutting corners on customer specifications purely to comply with a corporate formula for success.

Tills Innovations is quite simply about producing high quality, innovative architectural features, styled from nature's finest materials, to provide a unique and stunning focal point to adorn any outdoor space.

Although the company is renown for its bespoke offering, the business recognizes that a demand also exists for a range of beautifully hand-crafted, superior quality garden features which customers can select immediately from an exclusive collection of "off the peg" products.
